Account Statistics

Your free hosting account offers basic statistics for Hits, CPU, RAM, I/O and EPF, as well as Disk and Transfer usage. As a rule of thumb, if you see the green line spiking and reaching the red line, then you have to decrease your resource consumption.

How to access and read your account statistics:

  1. login to your control panel
  2. click in Account Statistics (image 17)

Now you will be presented with several graphs and pie charts:

  1. first graph is the Daily Hits graph, the limit (red line) is 50000 hits per day
    daily hits graph
  2. second graph is the Daily CPU graph, the limit (red line) is 100% of your allowed CPU
    daily cpu graph
  3. third graph is the Daily RAM graph, the limit (red line) is 100% of your allowed RAM
    daily ram graph
  4. fourth graph is the Daily I/O graph, the limit (red line) is 100% of your allowed I/O
    daily io graph
  5. fifth graph is the Daily EPF graph, the limit (red line) is 100% of your allowed EPF
    daily epf graph
  6. sixth graph is the Traffic Usage pie chart, the blue portion shows the used traffic and the red portion shows the remaining traffic for the month
    traffic usage chart
  7. seventh graph is the Diskc Usage pie chart, the blue portion shows the used disk space and the red portion shows the remaining disk space
    disk usage chart

One tip: observe the red, blue and green lines shown in the graphs to discover problems with your website. If the green line spikes but is well below the red line limit you shouldn’t worry too much. If the green line is near the red line limit you have to decrease your resource consumption.

How to decrease resource consumption:

  1. Update your script to its latest version. This applies to WordPress, Joomla!, Drupal and pretty much every CMS out there.
  2. Lower the number of scripts and/or Cron Jobs in execution.
  3. Stop intensive statistics plugins.
  4. Stop intensive error logging plugins.
  5. Start using the Deny IP Manager to deny access to malicious bots.
  6. Locate and patch errors in your website’s code.
  7. Ensure your website displays ErrorDocuments correctly.
  8. Deactivate and delete plugins and themes.
  9. Migrate to lightweight or minimalist themes.
  10. Decrease the size and number of objects loaded in your webpages. Go to tools.pingdom.com and check your website. Or go to Google PageSpeed Insights, GTMetrix or webpagetest.
  11. Lower the size and weight of your images and consider using image sprites.
  12. Stop using PHP and JavaScript and convert to HTML your webpages.
